Shipping Policy

If it's in stock - we have it!

Ok, so we're joking a little with that one, but it's still true. But seriously, I'm not a lawyer and I don't pretend to be one. Although I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. So with that being said, I hope you'll excuse my plain-speak when trying to explain how we manage to ship thousands of fence items from the size of a nut and bolt all the way to a container load of wood fence panels all over the country.

Most of the items on this website are in stock and ship within a day or two of you placing your order. This includes chain link fence fittings and wood fence hardware, Oz Post, fence tools, etc. If it's small enough to ship UPS, it will ship within about a day of us receiving your order. Larger items and complete fence systems take a little longer, simply because it takes some time to fill the order, palletize it for shipping on big truck and scheduling the shipping to your location. Items that are custom built or assembled require time to properly fabricate.

We're Down with Brown!

We ship small parcels and packages of fence material with UPS. Sorry, we do not ship by US Mail at this time. It has been our experience that the reliabilty, customer service, and total cost of delivery provided by UPS simply can't be beat. UPS provides our customers with tracking numbers that can be followed from our warehouse to your door. They are less picky about chain link fittings rattling around in the box and UPS gives us free boxes! This level of service allows us to give our customers immediate tracking information when their orders ship. This usually makes for happy customers. Happy customers means repeat customers. We like this a lot.

LTL Freight (Less Than Truckload)

If you order material for a large job or things that simply can't fit in box we have to ship these orders by big truck. These can be flat bed semis, straight trucks, big box trucks or full truckloads. These shippers do things a little differently than UPS, so pay attention and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised at how smoothly we can ship big items across the country.

1. We box or palletize heavy or bulky items so they can be moved around. We also do this so the trucking company won't accidentally ship your gate hinges to Idaho and your gate to Illinois.
2. We load your materials and prepare a Bill Of Lading so the shipper knows exactly where to deliver the material.
3. The shipper brings the material to your city (or closest city)
4. The shipper calls you to make arrangements for delivery. They do this so that someone will be there to accept delivery, sign for and unload the materials. The shipper is technically only responsible to provide service to the back of their truck. It is usually the customers responsibilty to unload their material, check it over and sign for their order. We will be happy to explain exactly how the material you ordered will be packaged so you can unload and make arrangements for storage until you're ready to install. Obviously, due the various items we sell, this can be different from job to job. If you order 3 bundles of chain link pipe and 2 skids of chain link fabric, be prepared to have a few strong people around on delivery day, or a forklift to get that semi unloaded.

Domestic Freight - Natiowide to all 50 states
If a bright shiny chain link fence for your backyard is what you want, we're happy to provide that too. We're equipped to palletize any items we sell and ship them anywhere in the US.

International Orders
We can even arrange for some orders to be sent overseas, but this usually involves what's called a freight forwarder. If you live in Guam, Puerto Rico or even the Marshall Islands, I'm sure you've dealt with a freight forwarder at some point. If you have questions about International Orders, give us a call or send us an email and we'll be happy to provide you information.

Damages or Missing Items

Although we have a very good track record with our customers occasionally something arrives damaged or missing. We ship with insurance to avoid delays and speed up the process of getting replacement materials to our customers. But it is your responsibility to properly note any damages or missing items on the Bill Of Lading and notify us as soon as possible to that we can get you the materials you ordered.

Returns and Refused Deliveries

Please don't send us returns without notifying us that something is coming back. We realize that sometimes you may have received the wrong size hinge, or simply don't like that you ordered. We will accept returns with prior approval. Mostly because we need to make sure that we can make you happy by either sending out a replacement or issuing credit.

LTL shipments refused at time of delivery

Shipping large fence orders is costly. It usually costs a few hundred dollars. If you decide to cancel an order, please do so as quickly as possible to avoid us sending out the shipment. If the trucker calls to deliver your fence for your backyard and you refise delivery, we'll have to charge you for the shipping fees.
